While the season Premier Padel 2026 has barely begun, Sanyo Gutiérrez was quick to deliver his analysis of the circuit. For the Argentinian, the spectacle offered on the women's circuit is currently more captivating than the men's draw, particularly due to more open competition between the best pairs.
A more open women's circuit
Interviewed by the media Twenty Ten Sanyo Gutiérrez offered a fairly clear reflection on the current state of professional padel. According to him, women's padel is now characterized by a much greater uncertainty in the race to the top.
"With all due respect to the men's circuit, women's padel has become much more entertaining," explains the Argentinian.
The main reason, according to him, lies in the balance between the best pairs. Several teams now seem capable of fighting for the top spots, which makes each tournament more unpredictable.
"If you ask me today who can finish number one among women, I can easily name at least three pairs. Among men, there are no more than two," he analyzes.

Ari Sánchez, a player who continues to impress him
In her analysis of the women's circuit, Sanyo also mentioned several players who particularly caught her attention. Among them, Ari Sánchez whose playing style he has long appreciated.
The Argentinian believes that the association with Andrea Ustero has given the Spanish player a new dynamic. "Ustero has given her confidence, perhaps even a new lease of life," he observes.
Regarding young Andrea, he emphasizes her immense potential. Despite the still understandable room for physical improvement at her age, Sanyo believes the pair possesses the necessary qualities to aim for the greatest results.
Martina Calvo, the revelation that has captured everyone's attention
But the player who has most impressed Sanyo lately remains Martina Calvo The young Spaniard continues to inspire admiration on the circuit with her maturity and understanding of the game.
"It's monstrous, it's difficult to explain," the Argentinian confided. "These are unique cases. She has a maturity far superior to what I've seen at that age."
For him, if we had to choose a significant revelation in recent padel, the answer would be clear: Martina Calvo.
In the men's category, a duel that still dominates the circuit
On the men's side, Sanyo believes the situation is much more stable. The top two pairs in the world continue to dominate the competition.
The clashes between Arturo Coello / Agustín Tapia et Ale Galán / Fede Chingotto have thus set the rhythm for most of the major finals in recent months.
After Galán and Chingotto's victory at Gijón The Argentinian sees this team progressing and showing greater solidity. Despite this, he still considers Tapia and Coello as the circuit reference.
"They know exactly what they need to do to continue to dominate," he believes.

A message for Chingotto
In conclusion, Sanyo addressed a special message to Fede Chingotto , a player with whom he says he identifies.
According to him, the key to competing with the number ones remains perseverance. "He mustn't lose hope," explains the Argentinian. "He reminds me a bit of my own journey."
Even though Tapia and Coello remain the main contenders for the world throne, Sanyo believes that the competition can take advantage of the slightest slowdown.
"The only thing to do is to continue believing in your work and wait for the right opportunity."
