In only  two and a half seasons , the Argentinian-Spanish duo has left its mark on the recent history of the circuit.  14 titles in 2024 ,  already 7 in 2025 at mid-season , formidable consistency, monstrous performances, and almost flawless domination. Yes, Tapia and Coello mark their era. But a peak still seems  out of reach .

 627 days without defeat, 94 consecutive victories, 115 titles: the shadow of Bela and JMD 

Facing them, a myth:  Juan Martín Díaz and Fernando Belasteguin .  627 days undefeated ,  94 consecutive matches won , And especially  115 titles together . Exceptional longevity, total hegemony for almost a decade, in a different era, certainly, but whose records still stand firm.

For Tapia and Coello to hope to beat this figure, they would need  win 14 titles per season for 5 and a half years . In other words,  keep the frenetic pace from 2024 until the end of the decade A crazy projection… and almost unrealistic.

 Another padel, another world 

Modern padel  has nothing to do with that of the time of Bela and JMD . The  rythme  is more sustained, the  better prepared opponents , the  more professional players , and the  denser schedule Injuries are mounting, seasons are long, and heads sometimes explode mentally.  Pair stability is increasingly rare , and imagine a lasting association  more than 8 seasons , like that of Bela and Diaz, seems almost impossible today.

Besides, that's where  Tapia and Coello are exceptions to the rule  : started in 2023, their collaboration is holding up, despite the pressure, the requests, the adjustments necessary to continue to perform.

 An almost unattainable feat? 

So this  record of 115 titles  Can it ever fall? In theory, yes. In practice,  the chances are slim . And if one day a pair were to do it, Tapia and Coello are probably the  only ones capable of chaining at such a pace .

But their mission is clear:  continue to write their own story , without necessarily comparing itself to the untouchable duo JMD / Bela. Because  dominate modern padel  as they have been doing for two years is  already an achievement in itself .
