Le CUPRA FIP Tour is about to experience a 2026 historic season . Carried by the International Federation of Padel The circuit is taking a major step forward, both in terms of quantitative that qualitative , and confirms its central role in the journey of players aiming for a professional career on a global scale.
An unprecedented calendar: more than 200 tournaments across five continents
With more than 200 tournaments distributed five continents , the CUPRA FIP Tour becomes a global competitive ecosystem Key fact: 95% of events will be organized in a combined format offering nearly 400 competitions combined between male and female tables.
These figures far exceed those of 2025 (166 tournaments and more than 300 draws) and establish the Tour as a essential reference for players, organizers and national federations.
A global expansion: 17 new countries, 78 host nations
Internationalization is at the heart of the 2026 project. Seventeen new countries join the official calendar (including Cambodia, Vietnam, Ghana, Morocco, Poland and Latvia), bringing to 78 the total number of host nations .
The geographical distribution confirms the globalization of padel:
- Europe: 46%
- Asia: 26%
- Americas: 14%
- Africa: 13%
- Oceania: 1%
A strong signal: padel is no longer a regional phenomenon, but a global sport is accelerating .
Increased participation and enhanced professionalization
In 2025, more than 3,000 players took part in the CUPRA FIP Tour, namely + 78% compared to 2024. The momentum suggests a new progress in 2026 driven by the professionalization of the circuit and the influx of emerging talents seeking FIP points and international experience .
New sporting dynamics: Platinum and Gold on the rise
The structure of the Tour is still based around four categories : Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum But 2026 brings two major changes:
- FIP Platinum doubles , embodying the elite of the Tour. The first has already begun in the prestigious setting of the Marseille Sports Palace , a symbol of the project's ambitions.
- FIP Gold triples , with a kick-off at Ponta Delgada (Portugal) early March.
Added to this are the FIP Finals scheduled for December, which will conclude the season.
A coherent ecosystem, from training to elite level
The CUPRA FIP Tour is part of a comprehensive architecture alongside Premier Padel (the pinnacle of professional padel) and of FIP Promises Tour (reserved for youth categories). Together, these three pillars form a structured pyramid designed to accompany the players from the grassroots to the elite .
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
