It's not a break for all players on the FIP circuit. The qualifying brackets of  FIP Bronze from Mol, Belgium, and Barcelona El Prat  began this Wednesday, August 12, with, with one exception, a flawless performance from the French side.

The French were swift in Mol

The sixth seed in qualifying,  Manuel Vives / Olivier Guy de Chamisso , arrived as the overwhelming favorite given their pair's weight, which was significantly higher than that of the other participating teams. This unusual situation was due to a last-minute change.

Initially registered for a tournament in Portugal, the two French players decided to withdraw due to a physical discomfort experienced by  Olivier Guy de Chamisso But with the young Parisian's pain finally subsiding, Vives and Guy de Chamisso requested a  wild card for the main draw  to the organizers of the FIP Bronze Mol.

A request that was partially accepted, since they ultimately obtained a  wild card for the qualifiers , which explains the unusual presence of a pair of this caliber at this stage of the competition.

A status that doesn't seem to bother them: for their first match, the French won.  6 / 2 6 / 2  facing the pair composed of the British  O. Grantham  and the Belgian  R. Keppens .

On their side,  Jules Marie and Benjamin Dufour  also enjoyed a particularly comfortable start with a resounding victory,  6 / 0 6 / 0 facing the all-Belgian pair  Zoller / Pestiaux .

The schedule is now similar for both French pairs, expected to start at 14pm against opponents theoretically within their reach.

For  Manuel Vives and Olivier Guy de Chamisso However, caution will be necessary as they will be facing another pair who have received a wild card, the Belgians.  Jérémy Gala and Dominique Coene .

 Jules Marie and Benjamin Dufour  they will be up against the Slovenian  Andrej Šušteršič  and Spanish  Julian Preciado , two players still relatively inexperienced on the FIP circuit.

And the scenario could become particularly interesting:  If both French pairs win, they will face each other in the final of the pre-tournaments for a place in the main draw.

Great French successes in Barcelona

À  Barcelona El Prat The French also responded well on this first day of qualifying.

In an almost all-French duel opposing  Jeremiah Euphrasia associated with the Cuban  Galindo Garcia , seeded No. 5  Nathan Perrot / Raphaël Rubio It was the latter who prevailed in two sets.  6 / 2 6 / 4 .

This victory allows them to advance to the second round of qualifying, where they will face the Spanish pair who received a wild card.  Garcia Calvo / Estebanez Estevez .

The best performance of the day goes to the French pair  Robin Houssain / Slevin Pasanau who acquired the Spanish pair  Cid Arasa / Juste Aixalà  after two tie-breaks:  7 / 6 7 / 6 .

A solid performance that we will need to try to replicate today against the  #3 seed in qualifying , composed of Spanish  Florensa Hernandez  and the Qatari  Isaa Zayed .

Finally, the Franco-Argentine pair  Maxime Chedorge / Maximiliano Sepulveda  also played his first round match against the Spanish  Hector Pino / Marc Monturiol .  3/6 6/3 3/6 

If they qualify, Chedorge and Sepulveda would face the Spanish pair again.  Estebanez Estevez / Bartolome Hernan , seeded number 2 in these qualifications.
