Le first official event of the Hexagon World Series (HWS) has been confirmed: the GENERALI Hexagon Cup Madrid , which will take place from 21 at 24 January 2027 .
Organized once again in the iconic Magic Box of Madrid The event will mark the beginning of a new chapter for padel, as it will constitute the first officially sanctioned team tournament of this new global series.
Madrid will thus open the international padel season in 2027 with an event bringing together the best players in the world , as well as teams and owners from the worlds of sport and entertainment, in keeping with the identity that has defined the Hexagon Cup since its creation in 2023 around its motto:
“For the Fans. For the Players. For the Game. »
Madrid, starting point of the Hexagon World Series
The 2027 edition will be of particular importance as it will mark the launch of the Hexagon World Series , the new professional team padel circuit placed under the aegis of the International Federation of Padel (FIP) and developed as a global extension of the Hexagon Cup.
The international scope and ambitions of the Hexagon World Series, as well as the work required to build a solid and sustainable structure across multiple markets, have led the organization to postpone the official launch of the competition to January 2027 and to review the schedule initially planned for 2026.
In recent months, Hexagon, alongside 54, of the FIP, of Premier Padel and all of its stakeholders continued the development of the project's sporting, operational and commercial foundations.
This additional preparation period should help strengthen the platform on which the Hexagon World Series will be launched.
GENERALI is once again the title partner.
City where the Hexagon Cup adventure began, Madrid will therefore be the starting point for the first season of the Hexagon World Series .
The Spanish capital will also host GENERALI as title partner for the second consecutive year and will retain a central place in this new chapter.
In the coming months, new information will be released regarding the teams, the players and the calendar extension , including other international destinations already identified to complete the 2027 season.
The passage of five to four days of competition This also corresponds to an evolution of the event format for next season. All the details regarding the new sporting structure will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Sergio Lewin: "Madrid is the ideal place to launch this new chapter."
Sergio Lewin, co-founder and Operations & Sporting Managing Director of the Hexagon Cup:
“We are delighted that Madrid marks the start of this new adventure. The Hexagon World Series represents a very ambitious evolution of everything we started with the Hexagon Cup. Building an international circuit of this scale requires time, solid foundations, and close collaboration between many stakeholders. Madrid is where it all began, and we couldn't imagine a better place to officially launch this new chapter in January 2027.”
