The weekend was particularly busy on the  French P1000 circuit with several tournaments on the program and quite a few lessons to be learned.
Between  favorites present ,  surprises in the paintings  et  close finals Several pairs have scored points ahead of the upcoming deadlines.

A quick recap of everything you need to remember.

TSB Valenciennes: Perez-Le Tiec / Deloyer confirm their status

Au  P1000 TSB Valenciennes , logic was finally respected.

The top two seeds lived up to their rankings all the way to the final:

  •  Pierre Perez-Le Tiec / Maxime Deloyer (TS1)
  •  Eliot Deknuydt / Paul Forichon (TS2)

But the tournament was not without surprises.
La  TS3 Dumoulin / Tardy  fell in the round of 16, which opened up part of the draw.
This has particularly benefited  Louis Cacheux / Loris Morvan , authors of a very good run up to the semi-finals.

Finally,  Perez-Le Tiec / Deloyer  confirmed their status by dominating  Deknuydt / Forichon   6 / 2 7 / 6 .
A logical victory for the  TS1 cleaner in managing important moments.

2V2 Cormeilles: Gortzounian / Filho in control

The side of  P1000 2V2 Cormeilles The favorites also ended up prevailing.

La  TS1 Charles Gortzounian / Clément Filho  lived up to expectations throughout the tournament, with a clear rise in power leading up to the title.

The tournament did, however, produce some great stories:

  •  Dammak / Ben Lallahom (TS14)  recorded one of the best performances of the weekend
  •  Roulleau / Du Gardin (TS7)  took advantage of the opening to reach the final

Finally,  Gortzounian / Son  were too strong for  Roulleau / Du Gardin , with a clear victory  6 / 4 6 / 0 .

A second  P1000 together this season  for a pair that confirms its very good start to the year.

Castres Cedars: Cazaban / Rubio in a nail-biting finish

Le  P1000 Cedars Castres  was probably one of the most open tournaments of the weekend.

Very quickly, the painting exploded:

  • la  TS1 Ayuso / Toppin  falls in quarter
  • la  TS4 Trancart / Verdier  is also eliminated
  • and  surprise Alexis Arette Hourquet / Téo Larrue  make the most of it

Already conquerors of the  TS1  in quarter,   Arette Hourquet  / Larrue  then brought down the  TS3 Gourre / Potel  in the semi-finals, after a tough fight.

But in the final, experience prevailed.
Hugo Cazaban / Raphaël Rubio (TS2)  had to fight tooth and nail to overcome the surprise pair  6/3 5/7 7/6 .

A hard-won but well-deserved title, at the end of a  very big final .

TPC Couëronnais women: Moga / Lefèvre upset the final

In the women's category, at  P1000 Tennis Trust Padel Couëronnais Club The favorites eventually imposed their will.

In the semi-finals:

  •  Camille Moga / Marie Lefèvre (TS1)  have dominated  Giglione / Thauvin
  •  Clara Mansart / Émilie Loit (TS2)  took over  Melissa Huchet / Héloïse Le Normand

The final then offered a very beautiful scenario.
Down by a set,  Moga / Lefèvre  were able to reverse  Mansart / Loit  to impose oneself  4/6 6/2 6/4 .

A victory built on mental strength, in a match where the  TS1  has been able to make a difference over time and in the management of direct errors.

Breizh Padel   Bruz: Dornberger / Dupont Brimbeuf above

Le  P1000 Breizh Padel Bruz  It too delivered its share of surprises.

Several top seeds suffered early setbacks:

  •  Gonzalez / Mitjana (TS2)  fell in the quarter-finals against  Marin / Prod'homme (TS7)
  •  Baty / Truong (TS4)  were eliminated as soon as they entered the competition by  Le Mouel / Simon
  • and even before that  Monot / Benveniste  had come very close to a major upset in the round of 16

In this turbulent situation, one pair, however, perfectly maintained its position:
 Dupont Brimbeuf / Dornberger (TS1) .

The top favorites delivered at the right time and,  from the semi-finals onwards They were clearly head and shoulders above the rest.
A controlled rise to power that allows them to leave with the title.

A weekend full of lessons learned

Between :

  •  Perez-Le Tiec / Deloyer in Valenciennes
  •  Gortzounian / Filho in Cormeilles
  •  Cazaban / Rubio in Castres
  •  Moga / Lefèvre in Couëron
  •  Dornberger / Dupont Brimbeuf in Bruz

This weekend offered a nice glimpse of the current level of  French padel .

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
