On the eve of the start of the 2026 French Championships Padel In addition to Agen, the men's and women's draws are now set. In the men's draw, Yoan Boronad/Jérémy Robert have been paired with Bastien Blanqué/Thomas Leygue, setting up a potentially thrilling quarter-final. Vives/Guichard will have to be wary of the Tison/Maigret pair, who are capable of upsetting the established order. In the women's draw, the withdrawal of Camille Sireix/Mélissa Martin has reshuffled the deck before the start of the competition.  The French Championships bring together 32 pairs in each of the two draws.

Bergeron / Fonteny open the men's draw

Top seeds,  Johan Bergeron / Timéo Fonteny  will launch their tournament against  Teri Groll / Diego Garcia In their section of the table,  Yanis Muesser / Philemon Raichman  will start against  Yannouk Henrion / Gautier Boutel .

Julien Seurin / Thomas Vanbauce  will be opposed to  Guilhem Perez Le Tiec / Elio Sarrat , While  Maxime Forcin / Maxime Joris  will start against  Victor Choppe / Dorian De Meyer .

In the second half of the table,  Pierre Vincent / Damien Bayard  will find  Thomas Bréchemier / Matthieu Gonzalez .

The title holders  Manuel Vives / Dylan Guichard  will begin their defense against  Léo Perez / Alexandre Pichon de Bury Vives and Guichard had won the title in 2025 by beating Bastien Blanqué / Nicolas Rouanet in the final.

Finally  Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert  will have as their first opponents  Eliot Deknuydt / Paul Forichon as  Bastien Blanque / Thomas Leygue  will start against  Lilian Prod'Homme / Rémi Batard .

Why Boronad/Robert can face Blanqué/Leygue as early as the quarter-finals

That is certainly the main lesson to be learned from this draw.

Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert and Julien Seurin / Thomas Vanbauce were in contention when determining their placement in the draw.  The draw ultimately placed Boronad/Robert as the fifth pair in the draw, thus sending them into the game of one of the top three seeds.

And fate had other plans for them.  Bastien Blanque / Thomas Leygue .

If both pairs maintain their ranking in the first two rounds, they will therefore meet  from the quarter-finals onwards .

A highly anticipated clash between two generations. Blanqué and Leygue know this fixture perfectly, having won the editions together.  2022, 2023 and 2024 On the other side, Boronad and Robert arrive with their youth, but also with the advantage of having regularly played together on the international circuit.

On paper, it's hard to imagine a much tougher quarter-final.

Tison / Maigret, the trap in the Vives / Guichard game

Another area to monitor very closely is that of  Manuel Vives / Dylan Guichard .

The reigning French champions could see something coming their way  Benjamin Tison / Adrien Maigret who will begin against  Guillaume Monot / Nickolas N'Godrela .

Tison and Maigret are not among the top eight seeds, but their experience undoubtedly makes them one of the most dangerous pairs in the draw outside of that group. The two men could face Vives and Guichard even before the quarterfinals.

A first real potential test for the defending champions, in a section of the bracket where  Pierre Vincent / Damien Bayard  constitute the theoretically expected pair in the quarters.

Theoretical quarters for men

If the hierarchy is respected, Saturday could therefore offer us four particularly interesting matches:

  •  Bergeron / Fonteny – Muesser / Raichman
  •  Seurin / Vanbauce – Forcin / Joris
  •  Vincent / Bayard – Vives / Guichard
  •  Boronad / Robert – Blanqué / Leygue

Obviously, there are two rounds between the paper and the track. And this draw contains enough dangerous pairings to suggest a few surprises as early as Friday.

In the women's competition, the withdrawal of Sireix/Martin reshuffles the cards.

The women's draw underwent a significant change even before the start of the competition with the  Camille Sireix's withdrawal / Mélissa Martin .

Carla Touly / Léa Godallier  remain the number 1 pair in the tournament and will start against  Sandrine Gueyraud / Jennyfer Charpentier .

Lucile Pothier / Louise Bahurel  will be opposed to  Natalia Prado / Christie Nolwenn Michel , While  Lou Lambert-Agosti / Kimy Barla  will start against  Adeline Chabrier / Mélanie Delannoy .

Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Clara Mansart  will find  Virginie Tardivet / Angélique Girard .  Jennifer Denechau / Nada Majdoubi  will face  Victoria Isaac / Alice Aznar , While  Cassandra Senjean / Manon Marcarie  will play  Chloé Labadie / Justine Carraz .

On their side,  Élodie Invernon / Steffi Merah  will begin facing  Melissa Huchet / Klara Bernard .

Finally, with the withdrawal of Sireix/Martin,  Lisa Bognard / Alice Hofer  include the eight seeded players. They will face each other in the first round against  Maeva Waucquier / Charline Dardaud . On the initial list, Bognard / Hofer were immediately behind the first eight pairs.

The women's quarterfinals also promise

Following the logic of the draw after the withdrawal of Sireix / Martin, several important confrontations could emerge as early as the quarter-finals.

Pothier / Bahurel  are located in the same area as Invernon / Merah , While  Lambert-Agosti / Barla  might cross paths  Senjean / Marcarie .

In the other half of the painting,  Dardaine / Mansart  could find the new top seeds  Bognard / Hofer , while a potential  Touly / Godallier – Denechau / Majdoubi  is taking shape in the lower part.

For both men and women, the path to the title is now clear. And as early as Friday, with the round of 32 and then the round of 16, the first eliminations could already begin.
