This weekend, the French padel gets to the heart of the matter. From 16 at 18 January 2026, 4PADEL Bordeaux welcomes the the first major national event of the season with a P2000 men and women to the exceptional lineup.

Rarely has a P2000 brought together such player density, with many members of theFrance team, pairs accustomed to major events and a draw that, on the men's side, resembles a unofficial French championship.

In the women's race: a favorite, a real question mark

In the women's competition, the suspense for the title seems limited on paper. Léa Godallier et Carla Toully will be associated for this first P2000 of the year. 2nd and 3rd French, members of the French team and well established in the world top 100they serve as big favorites.

Behind them, solid pairs like Duchêne / Tonda (TS2) or Agosti / Barla (TS3) will try to come out on top, but the gap seems real.
The main issue will therefore lie elsewhere: who will manage to make their way to the finaland above all to avoid the number 1 seed for as long as possible.

For the men: an XXL field

It's clearly with men that this P2000 takes on a whole new dimension. The main display is of a density rarely seen, with pairs very highly placed from the first seeds… and well beyond.

Headlining, Thomas Leygue / Bastien BlanquéThe first two French players will be particularly closely watched, especially with the Leygue's gradual return on the slopes after his injury.

Behind them, the competition is fierce:

  • Vanbauce / Guichard (TS2)
  • Rouanet / Forcin (TS3)
  • Raichman / Muesser (TS4)

Further down in the table, the density is impressive:

  • Benjamin Tison / Adrien Maigret (TS7)
  • Ayuso / Auradou (pair 9)
  • Bayard / Vincent (pair 10)
  • Maxime Joris / Lucas Pillon only available seeded 11
  • Grué / Aitor Garcia, finalists in Carquefou, in pairs 14
  • Maxime Moreau / Thomas Brechemierpair 18

Highly competitive qualifications

Even the qualifications promise a real spectacle, with pairs like Julien Seurin / Adrien Dandois, Jérôme Inzerillo / Jules Marie, or Alexandre Toppin / Nicolas Molinero, top seed in the qualifiers.

A level rarely seen at this stage of the competition.

A weekend of padel to experience live

Good news for enthusiasts: All matches will be broadcast live from the round of 32 onwards. on Padel MagTV, commented by Mario Cordero...all the way to the finals. Others Live performances could also be offered on the side tracks. throughout the weekend, in order to follow even more matches and not miss anything from the event.

On site, the event promises to be just as comprehensive:

  • Free admission

  • An ideal setting to see the very high French level up close

Seulement four P2000s are organized every year in France.
This one opens the season in Bordeaux, with a lineup that sets the tone.

Save the date for your weekend: French padel is off to a strong start in 2026.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
