Fourth tournament together, fourth victory. Benjamin Tison and Maxime Forcin continue their perfect run. In Cabriès, they won their second P2000 set, after the one won at Esprit Padel Lyon. A look back at a close final, their close relationship, and the rest of their program.
An anecdote… and a nod to Scatena!
Benjamin Tison:
"Well, I have one regret: I lost a match here 6-7 years ago with Adrien Maigret against Scatena and Haziza, they reminded me of it! But now, I am super happy, Yippee love playing with Max, we have fun, even when we play badly like this morning."
(editor’s note: Match commented by the nuggets: Loïc Revol / Thibault Perreon during the Head Padel Open)
"It was a tournament that scared me a little. I'm in my first weeks of work, with 7-8 hours a day, and I was really tired. Plus, we never play outdoors, so between the fatigue and the conditions, I was afraid it would be our first defeat. But we pushed back the deadline since we have FIPs coming up, the French Championships, etc."
Special preparation for outdoor use
Maxime Forcin:
“In Normandy, there aren’t many outdoor fields, so I had to go and get my bearings at the University of Caen! As Ben said, playing outside is another sportI had mentally prepared myself to fight. In the end, the sensations came back well, especially in the final. I think I smashed very well in the final and that disrupted their tactics a little.

An ultra-tight first set
Benjamin Tison:
“The first set could have gone either way. It was very close. In the tiebreak, they made 2-3 errors even though they had well-constructed points. We were solid. And at key moments, we didn't crack. I smashed well. On match point, Max told me, 'I'm sure you'll make it then.' I wasn't so sure... but I gave it a try, and it worked. It's worth noting that Adrien and Yann were seeded 12 and are making the final.”
And now ?
Benjamin Tison:
"Next tournament together is the P1500 from La Ciotat. Then I will play the Bandol FIP with Jérémy Scatena, because Max can't."
Maxime Forcin / Ben Tison:
"In June-July, we would like to play some FIPs. FIP of Narbonne, for example. We may ask for a wildcard, since we are undefeated in France (laughs).
Benjamin Tison:
“Thanks to the crowd, it was incredible! Playing on a central court like that is magical for padel. It wasn’t our best padel, but I love it.” these victories, hard-won »
Maxime Forcin:
“Impressed by the number of spectators and the encouragement. Honestly, it makes you want to give it your all!”
