Another change of pairing on the circuit.  Tolito Aguirre  et  Pablo Lijó  have decided to launch a new association, which will begin from the  Kuwait Major scheduled for the end of October.

Until now, Tolito had been evolving with  Pablo García while Lijó shared the track with  Xisco Gil Both projects will therefore come to an end, making way for a pair that looks intriguing on paper.

The adventure ends for Aguirre / García

With Pablo García,  Tolito Aguirre had switched sides to play on the left .

The pair achieved some interesting results, but failed to pull off the big win they were hoping for.

Among their performances, we find in particular...  Round of 16 on a P1 , a  FIP Silver final , an  round of 32 at the Paris Major .

Solid results, but not yet enough to really shake up the hierarchy.

The two players will officially end their adventure after the  Milan P1 .

Tolito moves back to the right

With Pablo Lijó,  Tolito Aguirre will return to his preferred right side of the track .

A return to a positioning that better suits his game, with his ability to create, vary and disrupt defenses.

Left,  Pablo Lijó  will bring more offensive weight, power and presence in attacking phases.

On paper, the association therefore seems quite complementary.

A promising project, but without margin

The potential is interesting, but the reality of the ranking will require them to perform quickly.

Aguirre/Lijó are not expected to be among the top seeds in major tournaments. This means they could face top-draw pairs very early on.

To go further on Premier PadelTherefore, it will be necessary  to make big moves right from the first rounds .

This is also what makes this new association interesting: it has enough talent and experience to bother many people, but will have to immediately turn that into results.

First test at the Kuwait Major

Their adventure will therefore begin at  Kuwait Major .

A big tournament to launch a new project, with many points at stake and a first opportunity to see if the complementarity works quickly.

Tolito Aguirre back on the right, Pablo Lijó on the left: a pair to watch closely at the end of this season.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
