Present at  FIP Promises Paris by WME Sports Tyrone Pottier is one of the most active young French players on the international circuit. At just 14 years old, the player from La Trinité, near Nice, is competing in a series of FIP Promises tournaments alongside Benjamin Filieri and has just won a silver medal with the French team at the European Junior Championships in Porto. He's back for  Padel Magazine  about his career path, his ambitions and his experience on the international circuit.

 Padel Magazine Can you introduce yourself to those who don't know you yet? 

 Tyrone Pottier:  My name is Tyrone Pottier, I just turned 14 and I train in La Trinité, near Nice, in a club located next to Monaco.

 Padel Magazine What are you working on the most right now in training? 

 Tyrone Pottier:  Right now, I'm working a lot on bajada and the volley with my coach Florian Valsot. But we also try to have a fairly complete training program and to progress in all areas of the game.

 Padel Magazine You've just returned from the European Junior Championships in Porto. What are your takeaways from this first experience with the French national team? 

 Tyrone Pottier:  It was my first selection for the French national team, so it was obviously a great adventure. The whole team had a fantastic week and we had a lot of fun.

In addition, we're coming back with a silver medal, so we're very satisfied with our performance. We gave it our all throughout the competition.

The French U20 team finished as runners-up in the European Championship after their defeat against Spain in the final of the 2026 European Junior Championship. 

 Padel Magazine How do you judge the level of Spaniards of your generation today? 

 Tyrone Pottier:  I think that initially we were really behind them. But in recent years, we've reduced that gap considerably.

I hope that in the coming years we can even surpass them. In any case, I think we're on the right track and the gap has really narrowed.

 Padel Magazine You are one of the French artists we see most often on the FIP Promises circuit. Why this choice? 

 Tyrone Pottier:  With Benjamin Filieri, we have managed to build a real partnership and we try to play as many international tournaments as possible.

This allows us to compete against players from many countries, to discover different playing styles but also different cultures. This is something that matters a lot to us.

The level is also very high, especially in certain tournaments like the one in Paris, where the field is particularly strong.

Tyrone Pottier continues his winning streak: seventh title on the FIP Promises circuit

 Padel Magazine You've already achieved several good results on this circuit this season… 

 Tyrone Pottier:  Yes, we've travelled a lot. We've played in Italy, Belgium, Portugal and at several other FIP Promises.

Last year, here in Paris, I notably beat Mario Brocal, who was then world number one in the category, before reaching the quarter-finals. This year, we hope to go even further.

 Padel Magazine We don't see you very often at the major French tournaments. Do you want to develop more on the national circuit in the coming years? 

 Tyrone Pottier:  Yes, it's definitely in the plans.

I think that in a year or two, we'll start playing more P1000 or P2000 tournaments. At first, we'll certainly lose more matches than we win, but it will be essential to gain experience against the best French players and continue to progress.

Tyrone Pottier: "We've made up for lost time with the Spanish."

 Padel Magazine Is there a French player who particularly inspires you? 

 Tyrone Pottier:  I really like Dylan Guichard's game. I think he's capable of doing everything on the pitch and he has a very attacking style. He's definitely the French player who inspires me the most right now.

 Padel Magazine And on the circuit Premier Padel ? 

 Tyrone Pottier:  My favorite player is Juan Lebrón.

I know some people criticize him for his attitude, but personally, I really like his game and everything he is capable of producing on the field.
