The number 4 seed finally comes into the spotlight at Bordeaux Premier Padel P2. Fallers of the Osoro / Marrero duo (6/1, 7/6), the Argentinian and the Portuguese gave their feelings for Padel Magazine.

A valuable qualification in the last four

Virginia Riera: “It was a very tough game. We started well, but from 4/1, we made things a little more complicated for ourselves. The most important thing is to have come through, and we are very happy to still be in the running. We take advantage of the French public and we will experience another semi-final on Premier Padel."

Sofia Araujo: “Sometimes we missed a point and things didn't always go the way we would have liked, but that's okay. I'm delighted to be in Bordeaux for another half. »

Marta Marrero, the return of a “born competitor”

VR: “Personally, I was super happy to see her come back on the circuit, I was delighted to play against her again. She is a born competitor, she always makes the games difficult. But luckily, we managed to win. »

A rebirth after their first separation?

HER : “2023 was a complicated year for me. I have often changed partners due to circumstances, but I am happy to play with “Vi”. We're getting there little by little, we're getting better feelings. We had some good tournaments at the beginning and we continue to enjoy them. »

VR: “I think we have changed from the last time we played together (in 2019, editor’s note). We grew up separately, but today we fight together. »

HER : “There are times in your career when you have to part ways. We had been playing together for two years and we needed a change. It was a good thing because in the end, we each progressed on our own. I hope our pair will continue! »

2024, a year without any downtime!

HER : “It’s a very busy season. We have a lot of tournaments to do, in addition to those of Premier Padel. I played qualifying for the 2024 European Championships with Portugal and I am proud to have crossed the European threshold. I came directly to Bordeaux, but I'm not tired! »
