Le Riyadh Season Premier Padel P1 will ultimately not have offered a final in the women's table. Bea Gonzalez, who was due to play the match alongside Claudia fernandez face Ariana Sanchez et Paula Josemaria, was forced to withdraw due to injury.

A precautionary choice

While spectators were expecting a promising opposition, Bea Gonzalez preferred to give up so as not to compromise the rest of her season. On social networks, she wanted to reassure her supporters:

"For all those who are wondering why we didn't play in the Riyadh final, I want to say that I am fine. I am still recovering from my injury and, although I feel perfectly fine without any discomfort, we have to remain cautious.
The season is long and we want to continue to take care of everything possible during these first tournaments.
Back to Madrid after a very positive week, to recover, train and prepare for the next tournament!
See you in Gijón!”

For its part, Premier Padel also issued a statement explaining the decision taken in agreement with the circuit doctors:

"In order to protect her health and ensure optimal recovery, Bea González, in consultation with the medical team of Premier Padel, has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the Riyadh Season Premier Padel P1 alongside his partner Claudia Fernández.
Although this news is regrettable, the well-being of the players remains our priority. The whole family Premier Padel sends her his best wishes for a recovery and hopes to see her back on the slopes very soon.
With this withdrawal, Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría are proclaimed champions of Riyadh Season Premier Padel P1 »

An encouraging tournament despite everything

Before this package, Gonzalez and Fernandez had a solid run in Riyadh, particularly in the semi-final where they had battled more than three hours to overcome Delfina Brea et Gemma Triay (4-6 6-3 6-4).

On their side, Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria, already impressive in the semi-final against Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo (6-0 7-5), thus won their first title of the season without having to play in the final.

Next appointment for Bea Gonzalez : the Gijon tournament, where she hopes to regain full possession of her faculties.
