The French delegation continues its excellent run at the first World University Padel Championships, held from July 7 to 11 in Malaga. Competing in the men's, women's, and mixed doubles draws, all four French pairs have secured their place in the quarterfinals, without dropping a single set on this second day. 

The French remain undefeated

After a successful first day, the French team confirmed their ambitions.

In the  mixed table the number 1 seeds  Louise Bahurel and Nathan Courrin  They perfectly controlled their round of 16 match against the Germans.  Lars Witkowski and Lara Wensing , with a clear victory  6 / 2 6 / 0 .

The other French pair competing in mixed doubles,  Clara Mansart and Eliot Deknuydt She too continued on her way. The French dominated the Lebanese.  Alex Boustany and Maria Breidy  in two rounds ( 6 / 2 6 / 1 ) to reach the quarter-finals.

A successful start for the ladies

Exempt from the first round thanks to their status of  #4 seeded ,  Louise Bahurel and Clara Mansart  were making their debut in the women's draw.

The French women gave the Taiwanese women no chance.  Tong-Jing Liu and Chieh-Lin Yu , eliminated by a score of  6 / 1 6 / 0 .

Courrin and Deknuydt were quick to judge men

In the  masculine chart ,  Nathan Courrin and Eliot Deknuydt  also took place. Opposed to the Ukrainians  Andrii Bogatyrov and Nikita Opria , the French won  6 / 0 6 / 0  and they too have reached the quarter-finals.

Today the real fun begins

With  Four pairs qualified for the quarter-finals France confirms its excellent start to the tournament in this first edition of the World University Championships.

The level of competition will now rise a notch with the first clashes between  heads of series The French team, still in contention in all three categories, seem well positioned to achieve excellent results and continue to bring in valuable points in the nation rankings.
