In Malaga, in the heart of the Jose Solano Academy , Padel Magazine met a young French player whose name is starting to circulate in the padel world:  Clement Monot . At only  16 years , he is already impressing coaches and major players in international padel, including  Jose Solano Jr. ,  60rd player in the world .

 An atypical course 

Padel is not his first racket sport. "I first started with the  tennis at 8 years old . I have participated in competitions such as  Tennis Europe  and regional championships.  14 years , I was classified  15  ", he explains. Despite an excellent start to his tennis career, Clément quickly felt his limits. "With the  single matches  and  long trips , I gradually grew tired. Even victories no longer gave me the same joy.

 A revelation for padel 

During a tennis competition, he discovered padel. "I saw my first tracks and a friend suggested we exchange a few balls. In  September 2023 , I participated in my first competition. A real  love at first sight  »

From  February 2024 , he joins the  French Touch Academy  and start training with it  Mario Cordero  and his team. “It was a real pleasure and I was immediately hooked.”

At 16, Clément Monot is already impressing: the next star of French padel?

 Amazing progress 

Clement wants to establish himself as a  full-fledged padel player . He multiplies the sessions with coaches like  Yann Auradou, Julien Maigret  et  Fred Pommier , despite the distance which separates it from the Île-de-France.

The results follow quickly. "In  2024 , I participated in my first  TNJ in Lyon in U16 , Then the  French Championship in Aix-en-Provence  with my partner  Nolan Ballay . We were convinced that padel would be our sport of choice."

 A fierce competitor 

Clement is a demanding competitor. Recently, he finished  5th in the TNJ of Lyon in U18  next to  Tristan Robert . "I'm never satisfied with being on the track, whether it's in a match or in training." The progression continues with an expected participation in the  Bondoufle TNJ .

 Intensive training in Spain 

Aware of the need for high-level training, he moved to Malaga and joined the Jose Solano Academy . " Play  six hours a day  with young people who are competing  FIP tournament qualifications  Every weekend is extremely educational.”

 Objectives and ambitions 

Actuellement  767th French , Clément aims for a  entry into the top 500 by July In the medium term, he hopes to integrate the  top 300 in 2025  and continue its progress.

In the longer term, his ambition is clear: “I dream of being  in the world top 150 within five years , to integrate the  french top 10  and  participate in FIP tournaments internationally  »

At the same time, he wants to reconcile  studies and sports career . "I want to become  physiotherapist in sport , while continuing to train and play. I will also spend my  padel teacher diploma  to transmit my passion.”

 A new challenge in Orleans 

This year he joins  Let Padel Orleans  under the direction of  Mathis Dupont Brimbeuf . "Our goal is to integrate the  top 4 french players born in 2008  »

 Essential family support 

" My  family  is my best support. Thanks to them, I am never alone in my journey,” he confides.

Already spotted by structures such as  SHARK Malaga , Clément Monot is a name to watch. His rapid rise and total commitment suggest a promising career in the world of  French and international padel .
