On the occasion of the first edition of Art Basel Qatar, Premier Padel revealed Doha an original initiative combining sport, contemporary art and social engagement a padel court transformed into a true work of art by the French artist Sébastien Boileau, better known as the Mr. D 1987.

A prestigious inauguration

The official inauguration brought together several major figures from the world of sport and culture, including Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani, president of Qatar Museums, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Qatar Sports Investments, Luigi Carraro, President of the International Federation of Padel and David Beckham, a global sports icon.

A work inspired by the Doha skyline

Designed on a track provided by Best setthe installation was entirely designed for Art Basel QatarThe artistic intervention is directly inspired by the Doha night skyline, with its lights, its energy and its contrasts, and extends beyond the field, even on the windows and structure of the track.

"The main inspiration was Doha and its impressive skyline, its electric energy, its lighting and the richness of its colours. I wanted it to feel like playing padel on a work of art, something powerful, energetic and unforgettable," explains Sébastien Boileau.

A playable track, open to the public

Throughout the fair, the track remains fully functionalThe public can play there. reservation, making this creation not only a work of art, but also a real playground, at the crossroads of sporting and cultural experience.

A project with a social purpose

The initiative doesn't end with the event. Following Art Basel Qatar, the track will be officially donated to the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, a Qatari institution committed to supporting people with a intellectual disability to autism spectrum disorders.

A social aspect fully embraced by Premier Padel and its partners.

During the inauguration, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi emphasized the significance of this initiative:
