They had been chasing it for several tournaments, they finally got it.  Tom Couturier  et  Arthaud Dumoulin  won this Sunday  P1500 Padel 95  by dominating the number 1 seed in the final,  Simon Wagner  et  Charles Gortzounian , on the score of  6 / 2 7 / 6  en  1h04 game .

A well-deserved success for the two young players, who are used to reaching the final stages of P1500 tournaments but who this time secured first place.  Title P1500  of their career.

A final that got off to a perfect start

After having to battle throughout the weekend, including a semi-final won in three sets against Pierre Perez Le Tiec and Guillaume Ledrap, Tom Couturier and Arthaud Dumoulin delivered their most accomplished match at the best time.

From the very first exchanges, the number 2 seed imposed its rhythm. More aggressive, more precise in their tactical choices and driven by a strong desire, the two players quickly took control of the match.

Opposite them, Simon Wagner and Charles Gortzounian struggled to get into their final. Often caught off guard, they never managed to establish their game in this first set.

The result: a first set controlled from start to finish by Dumoulin and Couturier, who cruised to a logical victory.  6/2 .

A more contested second set

The reaction from the number 1 seed comes in the second set.

Wagner and Gortzounian broke serve in the very first game, but couldn't hold onto their lead. The second seed immediately leveled the score before the scenario repeated itself a few games later.

Each time, Couturier and Dumoulin find the resources to come back. Mentally stronger in the important moments, they refuse to let their opponents take control of the set.

The set then headed towards a decisive tie-break.

And in this exercise, the two friends still make the difference.

A perfectly executed tie-break

Tom Couturier and Arthaud Dumoulin made an ideal start to the tiebreak. Very aggressive on the first points, they quickly took the lead.  4-1 .

An advantage they will not relinquish.

More precise in the key moments, they close out the tie-break  7 points to 3  and claim the title.

A rewarded rise in power

This victory rewards a tournament where both players consistently rose to the occasion in difficult moments.

Although they had played several close matches in three sets before this final, they managed to raise their level over the weekend to deliver their most complete performance in the title match.

Facing a Wagner/Gortzounian pair who were coming off a very solid tournament, the 2nd seed displayed more control and efficiency in the important moments.

A logical success given the final that was offered.

For  Tom Couturier  et  Arthaud Dumoulin , this first crowning in  P1500  marks a new stage in their progression and confirms their place among the most competitive pairs on the French circuit.
