Le padel enjoys flourishing success in Champagne. Three complexes will soon open in the Cité des Sacres, which aims to become one of the most important cities in France.

A delay to make up

In the Grand Est region, Reims suffers from comparison with other urban areas such as Metz, Strasbourg and Mulhouse. The Rémois currently have a limited number of clubs and slopes, particularly at theInside Padel Club (photo, 8 courts) and at the UCPA Sport Station (2 courts). This lack of diversity explains why no major tournament has yet taken place here.

This year, demand has exploded and certain public structures want to ride the trend. This is the case of the Reims Tennis Club, which will have a makeover and install several courts from this fall according to France Bleu. At the same time, three other private structures will be created.

Jérôme Doligé, the founder of Padelshot, had already told us seven months earlier. After Saint-Étienne, Lyon, Caen and Metz, the franchise is launching a new center with 7 brand new “pistas”. While waiting for the opening planned for October 2024, the recruitment of the team (manager, team members) is still active.

4PADEL Reims

The branch of the Players group (formerly Five) continues to expand in France by offering the first 100% club padel from Reims. Equipped with five indoor courts, this complex initially planned for the end of 2024 will open its doors in a little less than a month. “We will continue to surprise you”, Guillaume Debelmas, co-president of the company, whispers to us. Next goal: reach 250 tracks for 4PADEL since 2025.

The start of the school year promises to be busy for Philippe Dudel and Hervé Szymanski. These two entrepreneurs from Reims will soon inaugurate a 2000 m² building located in the ZAC Croix Blandin, close to the city center. Subscriptions, academy, Spanish-sounding bar: everything will come together to have a good time in this 6-track club.
