It's hard to believe for 2021, but many of you have imagined a WPT France Padel Open from 2021 ? In our opinion the debate is interesting, but it is too early to imagine such a competition this year.

Despite the ambitions of the current team at the FFT, it would be a big surprise to see such a competition land in 2021. On the other hand 2022 could see the current work of the FFT materialize.

We fell behind on international events. And fortunately we were able to count on the FIP d'Angers and the Challenger Marseille and Paris to exist among the international events. But it must also be said: The situation we are experiencing today in France is not that of 2 years ago. The market seems much more ready to fully appreciate such competitions.

The Swedes have understood this for a long time (Sweden Padel open), the Danes are also doing it with the Danish Padel Open, and many other countries want to host a stage of the World Padel Tour.

For the moment in France, there have been Challenger in Aix-en-Provence (WinWin Padel) and in Paris (Casa Padel), but France has never hosted an Open du World Padel Tour and even less a Master.

At the time, the FFT had not really carried these competitions on its territory. The investments were mainly private. The clubs had to bear all the charges. Even communication was carried out mainly by project leaders when these events were national.

Today, the new team wants to propel France among the greats internationally. And for that, he needs his WPT France Padel Open… And why not a WPT France Padel Master?

Patience, we will have it, the question is when? For us, it will take at least wait until 2022. To your predictions!
