Maxi Maple et Franco Da Bianco win the Catalunya Open by winning the final against their rivals, Tolito Aguirre and Gonzalo Alfonso, on the score of 6 / 3 7 / 5. This victory marks their third title of the season and brings their duel against Aguirre-Alfonso to a tie of three wins each in the final.
Arce / Dal Bianco solid
In the first set, Arce et Dal bianco stand out for their efficiency on important points. Although Aguirre and Alfonso put the pressure on at the beginning of the match, Arce and Dal Bianco responded with a decisive break in the second game, which they then consolidated to take the set, 6/3.
A second set hooked
The second set was more contested, with both teams trading blows. But at 5/5, a volley error from Alfonso allowed Arce / Dal Bianco to serve for victory. Concluding in 7/5, the Argentines sealed their triumph, Dal Bianco's tears mark a successful return after injury.
The two pairs will meet again next week at Lanzarote Open.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
