A bolt from the blue in the world of professional padel: Monte Carlo International Sports, founding structure of the circuit A1 Padel, has just announced thecancellation of its initial schedule for the rest of the season. A decision with serious consequences, which is part of a large-scale strategic reorganization, conducted in collaboration with what the press release describes as “the world’s largest sports agency”. Objective: redraw the contours of the circuit from 2026.
By then four major tournaments will be organized in 2025 in emblematic places (still to be revealed), in order to prefigure the new face of A1 Padel. In parallel, the Fabrice Pastor Cup continues its development with an expanded circuit, which will reach its peak next November with a Master Final in San José de Costa Rica.
The press release:
"From Monte Carlo International Sports, as creators of A1 Padel, we wish to inform you that, as of this date, the planned circuit schedule is canceled. In the coming days, we will communicate the steps to follow as part of a big project.
As we have already indicated previously, we are in negotiations with the world's largest sports agency in order to define the strategy and direction that will take A1 Padel starting next year.
In this context, we have planned the organization of four major tournaments this year, in locations already defined that we will announce in the coming days. These events will serve as presentation of the tournaments currently in preparation for next season.
This decision was not easy to make because it impacts many people: the players, the brands, the organizers as well as our GREAT team of collaborators who helped build this circuit with us.
Furthermore, we announce that we will continue with the Fabrice Pastor Cup calendar, which has been renewed this year with more sites and which, for the first time, will conclude with a Final Master à San Jose, Costa Rica in November.
We would like to thank everyone for the support received and assure you that we are facing the future with a lot of optimism, as always, working by and for padel. "
