Franco Da Bianco et Maxi Maple , the numbers 1 of the A1 circuit Padel, finally won their first title of the season by winning the Lanzarote Open In a finale full of twists and turns, they dominate Luciano Puppo et Maxi Maldonado on the score of 6/4 2/6 6/1 .
A hooked start to the match
The final began at a very even pace. Both pairs held their serve without too much difficulty, even though Arce and Dal Bianco earned their first break point on their first return. It was finally at 5/4 that the number 1s managed to make the difference, taking advantage of a slight drop in opponent intensity to break and pocket the first set 6/4.
Puppo and Maldonado turn the tide
The second set, however, started with a dynamic that favored the number 1s, who led 2/0 and even had a 3/0 lead. But Puppo and Maldonado then found the resources to completely reverse the trend. More aggressive and incisive, they chained six consecutive games to win the second set 6/2, completely relaunching the final.
Dal Bianco and Arce impose their law in the last set
Despite a tough start to the third round from their opponents, Dal Bianco and Arce quickly regain their level. More solid in defense, more consistent in attack, they take control of the exchanges and perfectly exploit the physical decline of Puppo and Maldonado The number 1s roll out and conclude this final with a severe 6/1.
An important victory for Dal Bianco and Arce
With this title, Franco Dal Bianco and Maxi Arce finally won their first trophy in 2025 after two final losses. They confirmed their status as a benchmark on the A1 circuit, in a season that promises to be particularly competitive.
A Lanzarote Open full of surprises
Ce Lanzarote Open remains true to its reputation as an unpredictable tournament: many seeded players are eliminated prematurely, confirming the extremely consistent level of the circuit. Each tournament now becomes a real challenge for the title.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
