Since the circuit A1 Padel suspended its calendar, many players find themselves in a difficult situation. No more upcoming tournaments, no guaranteed pay, and a huge uncertainty about the future. To continue playing, many of them have decided to try their luck on Premier Padel.

But for these A1 players, the transition to this circuit is not without difficulty.

Failed qualifications in Asunción

Au P2 of Asuncion, several players from A1 Padel tried to go through the qualifications. Among them:

  • Santiago Rolla / Facundo Lopez,
  • Maxi Sánchez Blasco / Fede Chiostri, finalists of the FIP Bronze in Mendoza two weeks ago.

Sadly, none of these pairs managed to qualify for the main draw. The level is high, and above all, their lack of points in the FIP ranking makes things even more complicated.

Abud and González, the only representatives in the table… facing Galán / Chingotto

Only Martin Abud along with Mariano Gonzalez will be present in the main draw of the tournament, thanks to a wild cardThey will play their first match this Tuesday against Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto…a baptism of fire against one of the very best pairs in the world.

Heading to Buenos Aires for the sequel

Despite this complicated start, many players will try their luck again next week at Buenos Aires P1, where they will once again have to go through the qualifications. Here again, we will find:

  • Maxi Sánchez Blasco / Fede Chiostri,
  • Cristian Gutiérrez / Facundo Rodrigo Luis López,
  • Matías Emmanuel Del Moral / Nicolás Suescun (the latter already plays the FIP circuit)
  • Andrés Britos / Aitor Garcia Bassas,
  • Felipe Calleja / Dylan Cuello (active on FIP)
  • Gaston Lazzarini / Gonzalo Vera,
  • Martín Abud / Mariano González

A new life to build on Premier Padel

For all these players, this forced passage towards Premier Padel is a real restartThey will need time, results, and above all FIP points to be able to be in better conditions.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
