Since On February 20 , Tolito Aguirre and Gonza Alfonso compete in competitions all over the world. Passing through the Portugal Spain , Then the Mexico before landing at USA , the two players, nicknamed “The Magicians” , amaze the fans. In 26 days , they argued 20 games , sometimes going so far as to play two meetings in one day , as was the case yesterday in Miami .
Less of 48 hours after having disputed the Cancun P2 final , lost in the face of Franco Stupaczuk and Juan LeBron , the duo only took a few hours of rest before flying to the Florida . As soon as they disembarked, they dropped off their suitcases at the hotel before heading to the Miami Beach Convention Center , where they argued two qualifying rounds au Motorola Razr Miami Premier Padel P1 . A situation that recalls their journey between the final of the P2 of Gijón played on Sunday March 2 , and their entry into the lists at FIP Platinum of Puebla le Tuesday 4 March , on the other side of the world.
A hellish chain of events, just like their nickname. Since the beginning of their journey, they have won the FIP Gold of Paredes , reached the final of the P2 of Gijón face Curro Cabeza and David Garcia , picked up a new title at the FIP Platinum of Puebla , before losing in the final to Cancun . But beyond the results, it is their spectacular style that continues to seduce fans of paddle .
This series of performances allowed the two Argentinians to gain ground in the FIP rankings . Thanks to that final in Cancun , Gonza Alfonso climb of 12 seats and reached the 35th position . For its part, Tolito Aguirre wins 13 rows , to rise to the 40rd world rank .
But this adventure of the pair Tolito / Alfonso must not obscure the sling controversies and the fact that many players feel that they have “abused the situation” taking advantage of the removal from the world top 100 . Especially since the points acquired at Gijón and, above all, those obtained at Cancún could be withdrawn if some of the players strikers won his case.
