Having just become French champions, there are already uncertainties regarding the participation ofAlix Collombon et Léa Godallier at Valladolid P2 this week. In fact, both players left from their final at France 2024 diminished.
Alix Collombon, injured in the wrist
The French number 1 suffered during the match, injured in the right forearm. The French player, who had just returned from Rotterdam, was already weakened after the tournament in the Netherlands. However, the injury did not seem to bother her until now.
In the match against Jessica Ginier and Carla Touly, the pain reawakened, especially in the second set. The Lyonnaise had to have her arm strapped, we even wondered if she could continue the fight.
Finally, the match ended with victory but above all, a probably necessary rest for the French number 1, who could miss Valladolid P2.
Léa Godallier, a sprain during a match
Léa Godallier suffered but it didn't really show. However, the young mother did indeed get injured during the final of the 2024 French Championships. In the middle of the second set, Léa was hit in the ankle, victim of a sprain.
For now, it is impossible to know the severity of the injury. She will have to undergo an X-ray to see the extent of the damage... and could be absent from Valladolid P2.
An absence which is necessary since the Paris Major starts in two weeks: “The goal is to be at Roland Garros. If I have to rest, I will.“, said Léa Godallier.
It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
