On Saturday January 15, the All In Padel Lyon will face the Big Padel - Jet Academy: an explosive confrontation with some of the best French players. JT Peyrou and Johan Bergeron discuss this event which will mark the start of the season.

A unique team match in France

Jean Thomas Peyrou:

Set up a confrontation that would oppose 2 big clubs of padel French with top French players, it is a common idea with Johan who shares the same vision as me regarding the development of our sport.

Johan does a great job with the All In Padel. Our 2 respective academies are in full development and we share the same values: to be able to allow our best young players to find an alternative to Spain.

I find it a shame that young French players have the obligation to go to Spain to train; we are also able in France to offer professional structures so that our players progress to the highest level. Confronting our two academies and our two clubs on the same day in the form of a team match seemed obvious.

Johan Bergeron:

As JT said, I think we are actively participating in the development of padel in France, through our structures that we try to develop with our vision of padel. I had the chance to go to Spain for 4 years and I would like young French people to be able to take advantage of my experience to stay in France to train in high-level structures.

Regarding the event, we were at the European Championship and we both discussed it, we wanted to do something new and it was very quick for us to offer this event. A team match bringing together very good players, I think it's a format that can appeal to everyone.

A formula that might please

All in team match padel big padel

JTP:

The first meeting will take place on Saturday January 15 at Johan's at the All In padel Lyon. On the menu: 3 men's matches, 1 women's match and 1 super mixed tie-break in the event of a tie at 2 everywhere.

Beyond the promotion of our two structures, the primary goal is the development of padel at large. High level matches with our best players broadcast of course by Padel Magazine, entertainment throughout the day, being able to share our experience with the people of the club, a P100 organized simultaneously but also a special atmosphere because we will represent the colors of our club and be sure the Bordelais arrive in Lyon as conquerors (laughs). Regarding the composition of our two teams, we will have to wait a bit ...

JB -

The first leg will take place with us on Saturday January 15, 2022! We can't wait to welcome the JT team to see what they're worth (laughs).

The composition of the teams will be communicated later but I can already tell you that there will be a lot of players from the French TOP 30 and we will have the first French pair listed ALL IN PADELsystem. (editor's note. Tison / Bergeron)

Of course, Padel Magazine will be present in order to communicate on this meeting and to be able to allow people outside Lyon to be able to follow this opposition where we will have some of the best players in France.

We are organizing a P100 at the club so that there are people at the club and the P100 players can also follow this meeting!

It will be a very nice day for the All In Padel !

Strongly a French championship of padel by clubs!

JTP:

It is true that coming from tennis, we all enjoyed these team matches where we were together on Sundays to meet other clubs.

For the moment this does not exist at padel and I hope that we will be the precursors and that we will make other clubs want to come with us and why not launch (with the FFT) a French team championship!

I think it will be really something great for France, it is already happening in Italy with the presence of the best players in the world.

JB:

The players of padel want these French championships of padel by teams / by clubs. We can see that the demand is there. In our neighbors as in Spain or Italy, these club championships are an integral part of the success of this sport.

If thanks to this event we can give ideas to players, clubs, leagues, then that would be great. And besides, I am convinced that the FFT is working on this subject. We hope to have a real French team championship in 2022.
