Alejandra Alonso and Tamara Icardo are now the last two contenders to secure a place in the Premier Padel Finals from Barcelona. Saturday's semi-finals at Milan Premier Padel P1 could prove decisive, after a Friday marked by the elimination of Aranzazu Osoro. Alongside Veronica Virseda, Osoro was beaten by Delfi Brea and Bea Gonzalez, ending her hopes of qualifying for the FIP Race.

Earlier in the day, Alonso and Andrea Ustero beat Lucia Sainz and Patty Llaguno. Meanwhile, Tamara Icardo, who started further behind in the rankings, kept her chances alive by winning alongside Claudia Jensen. Despite a season marked by injuries and many missed tournaments, Icardo is fighting to secure her qualification. On Court 1, the number 7 seeded pair won a marathon three hours and 18 minutes, beating Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo (6-4, 4-6, 6-4). This result deprives the number 4 seeded pair of a long-awaited revenge after their defeat in the final of the Major of Acapulco.

Meanwhile, Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez, top seeds and recent champions at the Mexico Major, continue their flawless run. In just 1 hour and 1 minutes, they dominated Alejandra Salazar and Jessica Castelló (7-6, 0-6). Gemma and Claudia will open the evening session on Saturday on Centre Court, starting at 3 p.m. The first semi-final, between Alonso/Ustero and Brea/Gonzalez, will be held at 18 p.m. These encounters will not only decide the last P13 title of the season, but could also play a crucial role in the ranking of the FIP Race before Barcelona.
