Despite the rain, two games could be played yesterday and it is the American team which took the upper hand over the Europeans with two victories.

In the first meeting, little surprise since Maxi Sanchez and the Uruguayan Diego Ramos dominated Paquito Navarro and Uri Botello: 7/6 6/3.

In the other meeting, Bastien Blanqué and Arturo Coello were defeated by Sanyo Gutierrez and Martin Di Nenno. After leading the race in the first heat, leading 3/0, the French and the Spaniard were caught up by the Argentines who ended up winning the set in the tie-break. The 4th and 12th player in the world then accelerated to win 7/6 6/1.
