Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron win the stage of Head Padel Open lyonnais. The Tennis Club of Rillieux La Pape hosted the penultimate regional P1000 stage of the HPO with a victory for our French padel champions, but not without difficulty against the Franco-Mexican pair, Maxime Moreau and Pablo Acevedo.
Blanqué / Bergeron boarding
The pair Blanqué / Bergeron start their final beating drum by achieving the break from the 3e 1 gameer set. The aggressive game of the French pair does not allow the Mexican to play well. Pablo Acevido seems to be cornering and the faults are raining down. Maxime Moreau will try to help his companion but it will not be enough and the pair Bergeron / Blanqué took the opportunity to achieve a double break to win the first set 6 / 2.
We find our Bastien Blanqué of the great days. Consistent, efficient, he will have hurt a lot in this tournament. Johan Bergeron is impressive on the right: A real wall.
In the second set, the 2017 French padel champions seem unstoppable. We don't see how the French-Mexican pair can get out of it... Except that...
"Ghost games to banish"
Bastien Blanqué, who until then had achieved a perfect match, was deconcentrated and realized " a ghost game On his service as he will admit after his match, and allows Max Moreau and Pablo Acevedo to lead 3 / 1 then 4 / 1 with a break in advance. But the French pair courageously returns to the battle, with the precious help of the Mexican.
While we are at 4 everywhere, rebelote, Bastien Blanqué realizes a new game on his service to forget ... thus offering the break and the second set to the pair Moreau / Acevedo who did not ask perhaps so much.
A beautiful victory of our French
In 3e set, the two pairs manage to win their game of service more serenely until this game at 4 wherever the French pair succeeds again in this match breaker Pablo Acevedo.
Jo and Bastien win their match after 3 match balls saved by the Franco-Mexican pair.
Final score: 6/2 4/6 6/4
A Max Moreau of the big days
Note the superb match made by our French, Maxime Moreau. He will have really worn the team throughout the match. Unfortunately for him his partner, Pablo Acevedo, who had delivered a match so good in the semifinal against the Spanish pair Salines / Garcia, will spend a little side of his game in this final.
