The end of the season brings its share of movement… and not just between players. This time, it's on the other side.  technical staff  that a change has just been officially announced:  Andrea Ustero  and his trainer  Pablo Aymá  will separate after several years of successful collaboration.

An announcement confirmed on social media, accompanied by a strong message from the Argentinian coach.

A project that shaped one of the circuit's greatest promises

Under the leadership of Pablo Aymá, Andrea Ustero literally  exploded .
Discovered at the highest level alongside Alejandra Alonso, then confirmed with Sofia Araújo, the 18-year-old Catalan has progressed through all the stages at breakneck speed:

  • installation in the  Top 8 worldwide ,
  • Pair number 4 of the season,
  • elected  Breakthrough Player ,
  • records of precocity (notably his historic victory in P2 at 18 years old).

Aymá accompanied the maturation of a  rough diamond , structured her mentally, and allowed her to learn to perform in the heat of the moment, even if the Ustero / Araújo pair sometimes lacked consistency against the Top 3.

 Pablo Aymá's farewell message

The coach posted a very classy message to mark the end of the cycle:

“A Masters with a bitter taste. We are proud of everything we have built together: constant evolution, very good results and consolidation at the highest world level as No. 4 pair and Top 8 player.
Hard work, ambition and commitment have allowed us to experience a stage of great progress.

Andrea is now embarking on a new phase and we wish her the best of luck.
Each cycle ends to make way for new opportunities, and for our part we remain focused on continuing to compete, progress and support players at the highest level.”

 A new stage…

With his future association confirmed with  Ari Sánchez in 2026 Andrea Ustero enters an even higher dimension.
And naturally, such a change in sporting circumstances also implies a change in his working environment.

For next season, Ustero will turn to a  new staff , by joining the same project as Ari, under the direction of Angel González Ustero wants a team specifically designed to play  the very highest level aiming for regular finals… and why not the top spot.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
