Cartri celebrates its 5 years in the world of padel and for the occasion we had the chance to interview his CEO and Founder: Antonio Martins.

Cartri's story

We have been making socks for 20 years. We needed a brand to sell technical sports socks, and that's how Cartri was born. My daughters are called Carlotta and Trini, and that's why I chose the name Cartri which is the contraction of their two first names.

Then there was the crisis, and we stopped selling our products ourselves, but we continued to design and produce socks for other brands. 

5 years in the world of padel

We frequently worked with companies from the world of padel and one day a friend came to me and asked me to develop a brand of padel. We got started but it's very complicated to launch a brand from zero, and after two months my friend came back to me and told me that he had not done all the work involved. project and that in the end he preferred to only buy and sell.

As the project was already underway, I told myself that this was the opportunity for Cartri to embark on the world of padel, a world that I knew very well. I told my teams and my family about it, and we all agreed to start this adventure. It has been 5 years since this began and the concept of family is still essential for us.

Leader among young people

In five years of existence on the padel, Cartri was present at 2 world championships of padel young people (menores), and we have 6 world champions. Today we are the number 1 brand in the world among young people!

Cartri, a very special brand

We are an atypical brand. We do not seek at all costs to reduce costs at the expense of quality. We produce our rackets in Spain, unlike many brands that produce in China. We rely on the quality of the materials, and on top after-sales service. We only have 3% breakage in our palas, which is very difficult to achieve.

This is why we are called “the blue mountain of padel”. We are not the tallest or the tallest mountain, but we are a different mountain.

An ambitious future

Now we want to be present in all the countries where there is padel, collaborate with people who want to bet on this superb sport, with solid and coherent projects.

We will of course do everything to maintain ourselves as a benchmark brand among young people, and continue to strengthen our presence among adults. We will continue to keep our philosophy of quality and transparency towards our customers.
