We haven't stopped talking about them for a few weeks. After being a finalist in the P500 of Lyon and the HPO of Padel Club de Bois d'Arcy, the Tison / Pommier pair take it up a notch by winning their first P250 at the Head Padel Open de Padel Horizon in Paris.

Tison / Apple tree, as a boss

While they don't play padel that for 1 year, we have already seen them truster the last square of tournaments of padel. This time, Benjamin Tison and Frédéric Pommier managed to go to the end by winning a completely crazy final against the Lille pair Florent Landsheer and Johan Romanowski who will end in the super tie-break. But before telling about this final, perhaps we should talk about the surprise defeat in the semi of the “house” pair: Fabien Veber / Mathieu Lapouge.

Florent Landsheer, the tournament player?

Indeed, with the last minute package of the pair of Bois d'Arcy: Adrien Maigret / Julien Maigret, we could estimate that the favorites Veber / Lapouge were going to win this tournament.

But in half, they came across Lille, excited and surprising. For Romanowski / Landsheer this is a first association (who will call others?). An association, a bit special since we saw for the first time Romanowski go right and thus make room left gunner Landsheer.

If the Veber / Lapouge pair did not offer their best either padel for many reasons, the fact remains that it was necessary to succeed in beating them, in particular after a catastrophic departure of the player of BIG IV (Valenciennes): Johan.

After a first set lost 6 / 1, the Lille certainly surprised the Parisians by starting to play suddenly. Romanowski finally closed the gates of gifts and was gradually adjusting to his role of right-wing players, while Florent Landsheer was perfect from start to finish and even could we say, throughout the tournament, so much he showed of regularity.

In the second set then the super tie-break, the Lille pair was perfect to win his ticket for the final.

A very “HOT” final

After this beautiful semi-final, Lille arrived in the final with an almost favorites status. Parisians could however suffer from a lack of play before the final, as they cruised to go to the final.

It must be said that they took advantage of the poor form of some and the absence of a Justin Garnier (associated with Simon Boissé) who could have offered us an explosive semi-final like 10 days ago at the Padel Bois d'Arcy Club.

But the first set, was terribly intense, hot, complicated for the two pairs with some big rallies. If the Lille lose this first set in the tie-break, they bounce to return to a round everywhere (6 / 2). But at the super tie-break, the Parisians once again showed more regularity to win FINALLY the first P250 of their career.

Congratulations also to Monica Blankson and Jonathan le Gall who won the mixed tournament of Padel horizon.
