The American Padel Tour is a new circuit of padel professional. This weekend ended the first stage, in Mexico, in Mérida.

The pair Stefano Flores and Julio Julianoti wins and becomes the first pair in APT history. For the occasion, she leaves with a check for 83 Mexican pesos, the equivalent of 600 €. A large sum in the padel even more for Latin American players.

These players that we don't necessarily know show an exceptional level.

The question we can ask ourselves: Will this type of prize not attract South American players playing the qualifications of the WPT in the long term?

The future will tell. But one thing is certain, it is that the endowments should not be reduced.

Fabrice Pastor, President of the American Padel Association had announced it; “the goal of these competitions is that players can earn a living". At first glance, this is a good start.
