In one quarterfinal who smelled of powder at the Canarias Open, the number 2 seed Chiostri/Alfonso bit the dust. After a match in which the two teams never really played at their best at the same time, Torre and Ramos won 7/6 in the third set.

The Argentinians Chiostri and Alfonso started the match perfectly with a first round concluded 6/2. Diametrically opposed scenario with a 2/6 equalizer in the second act.

Torre / Ramos continued their momentum breaking away 4-1 in the final set but they had to fight until the tie-break to reach the last four. A totally mastered decisive game which allows the Argentinian and the Uruguayan to create the first big sensation of the tournament!
