Ariana Sánchez  is preparing to experience a highlight of her season. The player of  Reus  will play in a few weeks the  Premier Padel Costa Daurada P1 , organized for the first time in  Tarragona , a city she knows by heart. Ambassador of the tournament during its official presentation, she confided in the media SPORTS.

 Back at 100% after his injury 

Touched at the  right quadriceps  In Bordeaux, Ari had finished his quarter-final against Jensen / Alonso limping. A week later, here she is reassuring:
 “The injury was minor, and I was able to recover quickly. I'm already back in training and I'll be 100% ready for Malaga.” 
A relief ahead of a busy summer, with several big tournaments to play, including  the P1 of Tarragona , which is particularly close to the Catalan woman's heart.

Even though the tournament will be played in Tarragona, and not in Reus, Ari considers this stage as  a home tournament  :
 “It's a very special city for me. I've played a lot there, learned a lot, and I have friends and coaches there. It's bound to be a highlight.” 

No unnecessary pressure, however. She assures us:
 “I already won in Reus, this victory freed me. Now, I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest, without putting pressure on myself.” 

 A race for number 1 that pushes for excellence 

With Paula Josemaría, Ariana is engaged in a  tight fight for world number one , a permanent mano a mano with the duo Triay / Brea. For her, this weekly fight has become normal:
 “It's a long-distance race. It changes every week. The important thing is the end-of-year ranking. In the meantime, we'll keep working hard and analyzing our defeats to improve.” 

 A new generation that is pushing hard 

The world number 1 observes with admiration the arrival of young players on the tour. A phenomenon that she explains by  growing professionalization  padel:
 “The young players arrive much more prepared than before. They already have a team, high-level routines, they know what to expect.” 
This constant pressure forces him to raise his own level even higher:  “It’s a wheel that makes everyone grow.” 

 Passing on experience, an asset for young people 

Ari also returns to his  experience alongside Alejandra Salazar , which she considers a real turning point in her career:
 “I went through two years of accelerated training. Managing the ups and downs, keeping a cool head… That's what experienced players can pass on to younger players. It's a winning formula.”

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
