There are some career paths that capture attention, and Florian Armand's is one of them. Trained at US Cagnes, he was a finalist last week in the P1000 of the Ultra Cap Esterel – beaten in the semi-finals by the pair Suzanna / Gourre alongside his brother – he continues his progress by reaching the semi-finals of the P1000 organized at home.

For this tournament, Florian is not playing with his brother and is instead partnering with Sébastien Preauchat. An experienced player, consistent in his game, and very active on the local scene. This new pairing quickly found its rhythm and has been playing serious and focused padel since the start of the tournament.

The fourth-seeded pair, which they form together, has been the favorite in all their previous encounters, despite a tricky first match against Charles/Guichard. So far, the Armand/Preauchat duo has progressed smoothly and hasn't dropped a single set.

In the semi-finals, they will face the pair Suzanna / Gourre, the number 1 seeds. Like their opponents, the tournament favorites approach this final four with a controlled run, without having lost a set.

The US Cagnes public is now wondering: can Florian Armand create an upset at home and take revenge a week after the defeat at the P1000 Ultra Cap Esterel?

Whatever happens, the club's homegrown talent arrives at this event with ambition, supported by an environment he knows perfectly. The answer will be revealed on the court in Cagnes-sur-Mer, where padel continues to play a significant role in local sporting life.
