Au Adidas World Headquarters near Nuremberg in Germany, Arthur Hugounenq returned to his news, his projects and his recent sporting separation with Pierre Vincent.

Arthur, you are looking for a new partner, can you tell us a little more?

Yes, that's it. We split up with Pierre Vincent. We had mood on the pitch. The ambitions remain the same for both of us, but we wanted to explore other paths. To be honest, this decision did not come from me. It was not easy, but he had his reasons. So I am currently looking for a new partner to continue to evolve at the international level and climb the rankings.

From the outside, there seemed to be great potential in your duo, especially offensively. Did the lack of results motivate this separation?

Yes, it is a factor. We did not have as many games as we would have liked this year. But it must be said that it is always a challenge to train together when you live in different cities. Pierre was in Saint-Étienne and I was in Montpellier, so it was difficult to create a real osmosis on the ground. This complicates the preparation to reach the best possible level.

If tomorrow you found a partner, would you be ready to do anything to create this alchemy, even from a distance?

Yes, that's definitely the goal. It's clear that as French, we have some catching up to do compared to the Spanish and the Argentinians. It's therefore all the more important to train regularly with your partner to perform at your best during competitions. This becomes crucial if we want to be competitive internationally.

Next year there are other major international events planned. Are your ambitions unchanged?

Yes, absolutely. The goal is always to train hard to achieve our goals. The French ranking becomes less important to me. I see the French tournaments more as preparations for the international tournaments, which are now real battles with each participation. Each match is a fight, and it becomes more and more difficult to progress in this world ranking, but we're hanging on.

Which player surprised you the most this year, in France and internationally?

In France, I would say Max Joris. Honestly, congratulations to him for his season. He has joined the French team and, in my opinion, he is now an almost undisputed starter thanks to his attitude and his game. A great Well done Max, if you see this interview. He did an incredible job. But in the end, everyone works hard, and everyone's effort must be recognized.

Is there a player you would like to play with in the future?

Si Ale Galan wants to play with me, I'm in! (laughs) More seriously, in France, I had the opportunity to play with Philémon Raichman, Thomas Vanbauce and Timéo Fonteny. I really enjoyed these collaborations. These are 3 profiles that I really like. They are players with whom I could really build something interesting.
