In an interview,  Arturo Coello , current  global 1 number  with  Agustín Tapia , shared the inflection point that transformed their 2024 season. This moment of revelation came during the  Genova final   P2 , where the pair  Coello / Tapia  was swept away in just 42 minutes by  Alejandro Galán  et  Federico Chingotto , with a score of 6/1 6/1.

“I was devastated”

Coello remembers that day as an electroshock:
“I arrived at the locker room completely destroyed. I saw more and more the possibility that we would lose the place of  Volume 1 . All our work seemed in vain, and I felt unable to lead the pair in the right direction.”

That evening he summoned his  physical trainer Nacho Choque  and  coach Gustavo Pratto , stating: “Change must start with me.”

Introspection and hard work

This match was followed by sleepless nights for  Coello , where he questioned the reasons for his failures. He intensified his work with his  psychologist  and promised to return to the field stronger.
“What I wanted was a quick revenge. Sometimes I prefer to avoid certain opponents, but  Malaga , I wanted to face  Gallant  et  Chingotto  in the final. I needed this match before the summer break.”

Coello  tells that this victory at  Malaga  was a turning point:
“Winning in Malaga was a huge breath of fresh air. It allowed us to leave with different sensations. After that 1/6 1/6, it was like banging your fist on the table and saying: 'We're still here. After the summer, we'll see what happens.'”

Unprecedented domination

From that moment,  Coello  et  Wall  wrote the story:

  •  168 days of invincibility
  •  47 consecutive wins
  •  9 titles won in a row

This journey not only illustrates their  talent , but also their  mental resilience  and their ability to question themselves.  Arturo Coello  demonstrated that failure can become the starting point for incredible success.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
