Augustine Charpentier and Zia Debroy are French U16 champions. Seeded No. 1 in Cabriès, the two players from the CNE of Vichy lived up to their status by dominating Louise Clorennec-Beuzit and Alice Rolland (TS2) in the final, 6/3 7/6, at the end of a match much more contested than their journey to the final might suggest.
Charpentier / Debroy, an almost perfect career
On paper, the final did indeed pit the two expected pairs against each other. Augustine Charpentier / Zia Debroy were the number 1 seeds, while Louise Clorennec-Beuzit / Alice Rolland were the 2nd seeds.
Before this final, Charpentier and Debroy had literally dominated their two matches in the main draw: 6-0, 6-1 in the quarter-final against Raynier/Gueguen then 6-1, 6-1 in the semi-final against Greff/Garot .
On the other side of the draw, Clorennec-Beuzit and Rolland had initially dominated their quarter-final against Berling/Scheeg, winning 6 / 2 6 / 0 .
Their semi-final, however, had been considerably more complicated. Facing Rose Estrade / Eva Nguyen Ba, the Breton team had to turn the match around after losing the first set to ultimately prevail. 4/6 7/5 6/1 .
The meeting was therefore set for this Friday morning on the central track of Cabriès for a final between TS1 and TS2.
6/3 7/6: The favorites had to work hard
Unlike their previous rounds, Charpentier and Debroy did not roll this time.
They win the first set 6/3 before a much closer second set, ultimately won in a tie-break to conclude 6/3 7/6 in 1h23 .
Statistics also allow us to measure just how hard-fought this final was. Charpentier/Debroy finished with 76 points won against 60 , but both teams created numerous opportunities on the return leg.
The French champions converted 7 break points out of 10 , against On 6 14 for Clorennec-Beuzit / Rolland. An important point: the Breton women therefore obtained more opportunities to break, but were less efficient when it came to converting them.
Another difference: Charpentier/Debroy created the game more, with 18 winning points against 12 , but at the cost of taking a greater risk: 34 unforced errors against 25 They also registered 3 winning serves , compared to none for their opponents.
Conversely, Clorennec-Beuzit / Rolland committed more errors in return ( 10 vs. 6 ).

Two players from the Vichy National Training Center confirm
This title also rewards the work done around Augustine Charpentier and Zia Debroy in recent months.
The two players are members of the Amiens Métropole Tennis Club and are part of the Vichy National Padel Training Center .
Charpentier and Debroy already have a common international experience and had notably been selected with the French team for the 2025 Junior World Championships.
This season, their progress has also been reflected in the senior ranks. Before these French Championships, Charpentier was 39th French and Debroy 44e , far ahead of the majority of players of their generation.
They had also won the Master TNJ from the CNE of Vichy in June.

Clorennec-Beuzit / Rolland, the Breton sector confirms
The finalists' journey is also interesting, with a different model. Louise Clorennec-Beuzit and Alice Rolland are both members of GDR Tennis Padel Guipavas , in Brittany.
The two players have been playing together for several seasons, and their 2026 season confirms their progress. They notably won the TNJ Breizh Padel , already as No. 2 seeds, by beating Rose Estrade / Eva Nguyen Ba in the final.
They had also finished Senior runners-up in the Brittany championships end of June.
In Cabriès, they once again demonstrated that they can compete with the best young French players. Their second set against Charpentier/Debroy and the 14 break points obtained They notably show that they succeeded in putting the favorites under pressure.
The logic of the table has therefore ultimately been respected: TS1 vs TS2 in the final and victory for the favorites Augustine Charpentier / Zia Debroy, 6/3 7/6 .
In Cabriès, Charpentier and Debroy added a major achievement to their already impressive record: the title of French U16 champions 2026.
