Babolat padel answers questions from our Spanish colleague Padel Spain. Questions to know the situation of the French brand in relation to Covid-19.

It is a health crisis which will lead to an economic crisis. Only the best prepared companies, the most financially sound, and the most involved in the world and the development of the padel will come out of it. Today, the padel is overloaded with equipment brands and track builders. These crises should “clean up” this market.

These are the words of Frédéric Bertucat, director of international development of the French brand Babolat, created in 1875 by Pierre Babolat. A brand that has already experienced several crises, including 2 world wars. What could worry the brand is not really the financial health of Babolat, but that of the people with whom she works. Suppliers, resellers, and all the little hands that make sure you can take full advantage of the equipment it offers.

Today, from home, the employees Babolat are working on 2021. New things and a lot to tell.

For the players it's different. So much time confined will arouse the desire to return to see his friends, to play sports. And the padel is great for that. The only problem will be the overload of track reservations… and so much the better for the clubs.

Will this momentum towards the tracks encourage investors to start new clubs, or build more tracks? The future will tell.
