For the first time, the team of PadelReference.com organized a unique event: The Padel Show. For one day, this gathering brought together influencers, local partners, professional players and celebrities. Interview with Arnaud, to look back on this event mixing friendliness et Competitive spirit.

Arnaud, can you introduce this event to us?

We wanted to create a moment of sharing with the people who contribute to the success of our site. The idea quickly came to us to bring together all these wonderful people, on the same day and in the same place, at PadelTouch Bassin d'Arcachon, our club.

Who were the guests?

We had the honor of welcoming iconic personalities such as Grégory Coupet et Sylvain Wiltord, former players of the French football team, as well as Yoan Boronad, rising star of the Team NOX.
On the content creator side, Leo Poulain, Marianne Vandeale, The Padelists, Kev Tatz et PadelExplore were also present. And like the entire team of PadelRef is made up of enthusiasts, we have completed the teams to obtain an optimal number of participants.

How did the event go?

Finding the right format wasn't easy. We're all competitors, but we didn't want to organize a simple tournament. So we came up with an original format: two teams would face each other through matches by level, with rotations between TS1 and TS3 of each camp.

To add a touch of fun, we have introduced some bonus/penalty cards. Before each match, the coaches drew three cards at random, which could be activated at any time during the game. These cards included, for example:

  • Playing with junior snowshoes
  • No climbing into the net
  • Changing rackets with your partner
  • Playing a hand in the pocket

Then, technical challenges were organized. Each team nominated its best player to take on challenges such as successfully performing a backhand drop shot, hitting targets on serve or chaining lobs stuck to the glass.

Can you tell us who won?

Ahah, for the final result, I invite you to consult the social networks of our influencers! But without revealing too much, I can say that everything was played out during the last match.

What are your feelings about this first edition of The Padel Show ?

For a first edition, it was a great success! All the participants had fun, and the organization, from meals to accommodation (4-star hotel in Arcachon), was well thought out. The tournament format can still be optimized, but we are delighted with the result.

Is a 2025 edition planned?

Yes! All our guests want to participate again. We can already confirm that a 2025 edition will take place, with lots of new ideas: broadcasting the tournament live if we find a partner, or why not relocating the event to an outdoor venue.

We want to invite even more partners, brands and personalities, while maintaining our DNA: a day to celebrate our site and share a friendly moment around a good meal.
