After a year 2024 in ups and downs , marked by injuries, Bea González wants turn the page and aim higher. Finalist of the P1 of Riyadh , she had to withdraw due to injury, but reassures about her state of form.
In an interview with BRAND , Bea looks back on her past year, her breakup with Delfi Brea , his physical condition and his ambitions for 2025 .
A challenging but educational 2024 season
Between notable victories and recurring injuries , Bea González has had an eventful year. But while some moments have been difficult, she prefers to remember the positive.
“The second half of the season was complicated, between injuries and changes. And then, when Delfi told me that we were no longer going to play together, it was a shock. I thought we had a long-term project. But in the end, friendship has always been more important than sport.”
Despite this unexpected separation, their relationship remains intact: “We’re going to have dinner together after this interview.”, Bea says with a smile.
Riyadh's injury: a simple precaution
If its final at Riyadh ended in abandonment, Bea insists it was just a precaution after a grueling tournament:
“We didn’t expect to reach the final. We took it as a training tournament, because Claudia (Fernández) and I hadn’t had time to play much together. After the semi-final of more than three hours, I preferred not to take any risks so as not to overwork my muscle in the first tournament.”
And for those worried about a relapse, she is categorical: “The injuries are over. We took the time we needed to recover properly, and now everything is under control.”
Objective number 1 with Claudia Fernandez
Only at 23 years , Bea is now the "veteran" of his pair with Claudia Fernández , a new situation for her: “It’s weird, I’ve never had this role, but with Claudia, everything is easy. She’s hard-working, humble and very adaptable, so we quickly found our bearings.”
Together, they display a clear ambition: aiming for the throne of world padel .
“Our goal is number 1, without a doubt. We have shown that we can compete with all the other pairs, and we are ready to fight for it.”
A foolproof mind
While some players fear the pressure, Bea has no doubts: “We know that the road is long, but we will give our all every week. We cannot control everything that happens around us, but we can control our effort and our commitment.”
And regarding the current situation of the women's circuit , especially the P2 of Gijón , she remains in the background: “Honestly, I focus on my game and my recovery. The rest is not my problem.”
A 2025 season under the sign of revenge
After a hectic year, Bea Attack 2025 with serenity and ambition . Ready to give it your all , she intends to prove that she is one of the best players on the circuit , and perhaps finally achieve world number one status.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
