Si Pablo Lima retired as a professional player, the Brazilian has certainly not left the world of padel however. Today we find it at the head of the PPA : the players' association of padel professionals (PPA).

Pablo Lima was world number 1 for three years, alongside Fernando Belasteguin…And before that, he had been, alongside Juani Mieres, the indestructible number 2. As he revealed with our colleagues at LegalSport, these six years with Mieres were “rewarding"… but also "very hard":"no matter how well we played, we could practice more and more, we we always hit the same wall, that of Juan [Martin Diaz] and Bela."

For years, the Mieres/Lima pair was the runner-up to Bela/JMD. Years in the shadows, despite several titles et some victories clinging against the world number 1s of the time. Juani Mieres and Pablo Lima were the main “rivals” of Bela and Juan Martin: “We never compared ourselves to them because we quickly realized that they were incomparable. They are the best pair in history and it was almost an honor to have been candidates to overthrow them."

Obviously, everything changed for Pablo Lima when JMD and Bela separated. The Brazilian found himself alongside King Bela and this new pair has reached the top step of the podium. An association that will have marked Lima all his life: “The pair worked perfectly well… It was like a fairy tale".

A pair that will have worked for almost three years, until Bela's injury in 2018. Since then, neither player has been able to regain world number one.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
