There are days when padel isn't played to win. It's lived. That's what I experienced. Fernando Belasteguín This weekend, the former world number 1, a living legend of the sport, returned to the track. But this time, not to lift a trophy... but to play alongside his son Fede, as a sparring session of a training session with Jessica castelló et Lorena Rufo.

A simple moment, but full of meaning. And Bela, as always, found the right words:

"Padel continues to give me inexplicable emotions. What a joy to experience this moment with my son, sparring for the first time against professional players." he shares on his networks.

On the pitch, Fede already has some great moves. But above all, he sweats. desire, humility, passion. No surprise when you know that he grew up with a dad who was world number 1 for 16 years... and who never stopped staying simple.

Behind this moment, there is more than training. There is a generation passing the baton, without pressure, without expectations. Just with the desire to share a moment together, to enjoy a common passion together.

On the track, the father-son duo faces Castelló and Rufo, recently formed and now trained by Miguel Sciorilli, the former coach of the Boss.

Bela moves to the right, while Fede moves to the left. A funny configuration, as ironically pointed out mike yanguas in comments:

"Did you send him to the right, Fede Belasteguín?" jokes the Spaniard.

It's still unclear whether Fede will turn pro. That's not even the question. What matters are these kinds of moments. Because in a career as immense as Bela's, there are victories that aren't measured in trophies. There are just a father, a son, a passion.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
