Mission accomplished for  Johan Bergeron  et  Julien Seurin . Second seed of the  FIP Bronze Dakar The French won the tournament by dominating the number 1 seed in the final.  Pablo Pastor Landaburu  et  Luis Oliver Artigas , on the score of  6/3 3/6 6/3 .

A very good performance for the French pair, who confirm their excellent run throughout the week in Senegal.

A perfectly managed week

Before this final, Bergeron and Seurin had played an almost perfect tournament. The Frenchmen reached the final match without losing a single set, displaying great solidity in a draw that seemed particularly open.

Their status as seeded 2 offered them a great opportunity to go for the title, but they still had to seize it.

Facing the number 1 seed in the final, the two Frenchmen once again rose to the occasion.

They win the first round  6/3  thanks to an excellent start to the match and great control in the important moments.

Pastor and Artigas then reacted in the second set to level the match at one set apiece ( 3/6 ), but Bergeron and Seurin didn't panic. In the final set, the French regained control of the exchanges and made the difference at the best moment to seal the victory.  6/3 .

Quickly regained their automatic reflexes

This partnership isn't entirely new. The two players already shared the track last season during the  FIP Bronze Lyttos in Crete, where they had reached the semi-finals.

In Dakar, they quickly rediscovered their shared rhythm. Match after match, the pair gained confidence before concluding the week with this impressive victory against the tournament favorites.

Supported by a particularly warm Senegalese public throughout the week, Bergeron and Seurin seized their opportunity to go and claim this title.

40 valuable points for what comes next

This victory allows the two Frenchmen to pocket  40 FIP points , an important reward in the race for the rankings.

This success should do a lot of good for  Johan Bergeron , which had been going through a more complicated period in recent months with a gradual decline in the world rankings.

For  Julien Seurin This victory also confirms his current good momentum and allows him to continue to accumulate valuable points.

Off to Slovenia

No time to catch their breath for the two Frenchmen.

Bergeron and Seurin will continue this week at  FIP Bronze Ljubljana , in Slovenia. This time, they will be involved with the status of  seeded 7 .

After winning this title in Dakar, they will inevitably arrive with confidence and the ambition to continue their momentum.
