Johan Bergeron / Timéo Fonteny  continues his journey at  NewGiza P2 In Egypt, the French pair, seeded 6th, defeated the Spanish.  Karlos Rodríguez Vidal / Alejandro García Calahorro  on the score of  6 / 4 7 / 6 thus securing a place in the final of the pre-qualifications.

In a tournament where the draw doesn't traditionally attract a full complement of players, the French seized their opportunity. But far from being a formality, this match required a solid performance against a Spanish pair equally determined to capitalize on the circumstances. Bergeron and Fonteny made the difference, particularly in a tight second set that went to a tiebreak.

In the next round, the French pair will face a hybrid team composed of the Argentinian  Federico Mourino , a regular on the FIP Tour, and of Morocco  Mohamed Alami , increasingly present at international tournaments. On paper, the balance seems to tip in favor of the French, with a more homogeneous pair.

The match could be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of  Premier Padel , around noon local time in Egypt, or  11h in France .

If they win, Bergeron and Fonteny will achieve their initial goal: to qualify for the main draw of a tournament.  Premier Padel .
