Padel entrepreneurs will be brought together soon by the French Tennis Federation. The president of the FFT thus responded to the padel clubs in the hard with this health crisis which weakens the ecosystem of French padel.

A much awaited conference

For several weeks, we have seen more and more private clubs take up the niche “for more justice in the actions carried out by the FFT in padel”. The health crisis has not helped the private structures which are hard today and which fear for their future.

The FFT has announced substantial financial assistance with 35 million euros to revive and support the activities associated with the FFT, which include padel. Except that private clubs fear being “still forgotten by the FFT, widening the gap between the treatment of affiliated clubs and authorized clubs".

Private entrepreneurs want to see the FFT policy completely revised:

Unfair competition is omnipresent in padel. We even have the impression that the FFT does everything to use us when it needs us while trying to keep us.
We do not criticize the FFT's investment in financial terms. We criticize its implementation and its general organization.

The FFT: A great pressure?

The FFT currently has other problems with this unprecedented crisis. But it is also time for it to see what is wrong. Padel is in turmoil. We see on social networks club managers and players wondering if “i“We should not ask for the independence of padel with a dedicated federation” This is to say the exasperation of the clubs which globally recognize the power of the FFT and the financial means put on the table.

Paradoxical? not that much. What is pointed out is its use.

The FFT has no right to fail. Everything is green. Padel is booming. Whatever the FFT's policy, padel in France is growing. The FFT is one of the largest sports federations in the world with a pharaonic budget compared to all the other padel federations.
It can only succeed. However, one has the impression that it is a downright attack on private padel clubs.

The FFT seems to have no right to fail because for the world of padel, France has all the cards to do something great. This conference of private padel clubs announced by Hubert Picquier, the elected official in charge of padel, is highly anticipated by the clubs. Let's hope that it results in a great step forward for French padel.
