La Betclic Remontada Padel made his big comeback to the center 4Padel from Rouen-Petit-Quevilly for the second time. The event saw the participation of many pairs, including the national title holders in category Duo TODO, already present last year. The latter have again qualified for the Parisian final, but this time in the category Old School. Yes, even champions get older, but their competitiveness remains intact!
Near 200 participants responded to this very competitive 4th stage. The tables were complete, with a category Mixed and two categories ALL stormed: registrations filled up at lightning speed.

In category Old School, the highest pair weights were 116 and 114 years, offering an unprecedented match combining 230 années field experience. Side ALL, the creativity of the participants continues to evolve: after the gaps in 20 kg or 20 cm, make way for more original criteria. The qualifiers for Paris, while lifting their trophy, thus declared: “There are 20 km between our two houses!”.
Un record at Bombazo was established at 14,20 m, approaching the Bordeaux record of 15,80 m, but there is still a long way to go to match this mark. New this year, the Precision Challenge by Babolat has sometimes replaced the Bombazo. Inspired by pétanque, this challenge asks players to stop their ball as close as possible to a giant ball Babolat. An exercise that seems simple on paper but turns out to be much more complex in the field!
Another highlight: an impressive comeback from track 8 to track 1 in category Mixed. Unfortunately, these players failed to materialize in the final. Also note that the field No. 4 is now eligible for freebets, just like the field No. 1, which prompted several pairs to develop strategies to play on these two courts.
The next step of the Betclic Remontada Padel will be held at 4Padel from Creteil, January 29 to February 1. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss this unmissable event!
