Carla Toully takes stock of his year 2024 marked by intense tournaments and challenges against the best players on the circuit. Between significant victories and difficult moments like her withdrawal from Roland-Garros, she shares her ambitions for 2025, with the aim of competing against the greatest pairs in world padel.

A review of an intense and sometimes somewhat frustrating year
The year 2024 has been extremely busy for Carla Touly: "We have just had 7 weeks without a break, an intense year of tournaments and travel around the world." In terms of results, she admits to a certain frustration before the last two tournaments: "I was a little disappointed because several times, I came very close to beating good pairs. I lost a lot of matches in three sets, often in the nick of time. But in the last tournaments, we managed to make it happen with my partner."

However, she puts this progress into perspective: "This is my second year on the circuit, I can't expect to beat top pairs right away. But since I'm not very patient, I would like everything to happen right away." She concludes on a note of hope for 2025: "I hope that next year, I will manage to win these tight matches and turn the 6-4 in the third set in my favor."

A valuable experience against the best
Carla Touly insists on the importance of playing regularly against higher-ranked players: "They were often first times: first time against a top 60, a top 50... And it's difficult to win from the start. But more experience at this level and more training with high-level players should help me." She says she is ready to work hard to turn these matches in her favor.

The most complicated and best moment of 2024
The most difficult memory of 2024 remains his retirement at Roland-Garros: "It was the first time in my life that I had abandoned, whether in tennis or padel. Doing it in France, in Paris, on the Central Court, it was horrible. But I am proud to have gotten back up."

As for the best moment, she mentions her qualification for P1 in Milan: "It's the first time I've qualified for P1. Yesterday, we got this qualification by beating the number 1 seed in the qualifications. After all the efforts of the last 30 days, we really deserved it."

Ginier Morillon Touly

An enriching collaboration with Ana Dominguez
Carla explains the challenges of changing partners frequently: “This year, with Jessica Ginier, my main partner, it was sometimes complicated because she couldn’t travel much. I had to adapt to different partners, which wasn’t easy.”

She emphasizes the importance of being able to play several tournaments with Ana at the end of the year: "Being able to play 4-5 tournaments in a row with the same person changes everything. We had good and bad results, but it was a relief. For next year, nothing has been decided, but we could continue together occasionally."

Objectives for 2025
Carla remains ambitious for the coming year: "My goal has never been a specific ranking, but to play the biggest tournaments. I would like to secure a direct place in the main draws to face the best and gain experience."

She also dreams of meeting the greatest pairs on the circuit: "Playing against Delfi and Bea, or Gemma and Ale, would be incredible. Of course, I would like to beat them, but just playing them would already be a big step."

A Christmas competition not to be missed!
Finally, Carla announces a festive project: "With Julien Seurin, we are organizing a big Christmas competition on Instagram. More than 2 or 000 euros of prizes are up for grabs, including hotel nights and other surprises. Follow us to try your luck!"
