Just weeks after joining forces, Bastien Blanqué and Maxime Joris will play their first FIP ​​Tour final together this Sunday. The French pair qualified for the FIP Bronze final in Frascati with a controlled victory over the Spanish duo of Rodrigo Manrique and Abraham Muñoz. They will face Italy's top seeds, Giulio Graziotti (ranked 150th) and Simone Iacovino (ranked 171st), at 4:30 PM. 

An association that confirms

This is only their fourth tournament together, but the teamwork is already well established.

After a promising first quarter-final at the FIP Silver in Koksijde, Bastien Blanqué and Maxime Joris continued their upward trajectory this week in Italy. In Frascati, the two Frenchmen delivered a string of convincing performances and secured their first joint final on the FIP circuit.

A well-managed semi-final

Opposed to the Spanish  Rodrigo Manrique  (325e) and  Abraham Muñoz  (274th), Bastien Blanqué and Maxime Joris (TS5) delivered a solid performance to win in two sets,  6 / 4 6 / 4 .

The French were able to make the difference in the important moments, without conceding a single set, confirming the great promise shown since the beginning of their association.

The favorites will be there.

In the other semi-final, the number 1 seeds  Giulio Graziotti  (150e) and  Simone Iacovino  (171st) had to work hard to  Jose rico  (146e) and  Juan Cruz Forastello  (228e).

The Italians finally prevailed after a huge three-set battle.  6/3 6/7 7/6 , thus confirming their qualification for the final.

A first title in sight

The final, scheduled  around 16:30 p.m. will therefore oppose  Bastien Blanqué / Maxime Joris  to the Italian favorites  Giulio Graziotti / Simone Iacovino .

For the French, the stakes are twofold: to try to secure their  first title together  on the FIP circuit, but also to confirm that this new partnership is establishing itself as one of the strongest in French padel. Facing the number 1 seed, buoyed by their home crowd, the challenge will be significant, but Blanqué and Joris have demonstrated throughout the week that they have what it takes to go all the way.
